Viera kits' genders aren't known till the age of 13 and the male Viera come to take the boys to teach them to live on their own in solitude and become wood-warders.

Eikha Yohah was born and raised in the Yohah village in the Golmore Jungle. He was trained in the bow and magicks, taught how to survive off the land. But he wouldn't become a wood-warder till he would succeed in the rite of passage. He was indifferent to his situation, taking on the job and also supporting his brother from time to time. But as he got older, more invaders from the Garlean Empire occupying Dalmasca would attempt to enter the woods. Each attempt, he had no issues with stopping them, but during one attempt, a garlean would have shot his brother and killed him. Eikha would have gained a reputation for being a merciless killer.

Eventually, he decided to leave the forest for more opportunities than what he was given and ended up in Sharlayan to study as a scholar of magicks.
